“We feel very privileged to have added Bill to our group of public finance and governmental law attorneys,” said Joe Lucas, Managing Member of the firm. “Bill has tremendous experience in public finance and municipal bond work. But added to that experience is his extensive work for national and regional banks and underwriters, as well as his extensive corporate work. All of that adds to the depth of resources we bring to our governmental, banking and underwriting clients, as well as our hospital and higher education clients.”
“Pope Flynn has built an intriguing boutique firm that focuses on providing highly specialized and complex transactional work for a unique set of clients,” said Musser. “I am impressed by the tremendous energy of this group and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work together with a team that has high integrity and enthusiasm. At this stage in my career it’s refreshing to experience this level of excitement in a team of attorneys. From their founding in 2008 with three attorneys, I’ve watched them grow to eleven attorneys and add offices in Charlotte, Spartanburg, and Charleston. They are building something unique and very focused, and I’m happy to be a part of that effort.”
Musser graduated with both his JD and an MBA from Wake Forest University. He received a BA for a double major in history and chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also lettered in college baseball on a team that went to the College World Series, where they placed third.
