Pope Flynn, a nine-lawyer firm concentrating in public finance, government, and utilities law and headquartered in South Carolina, has opened its Charlotte office at the Ally Center, 440 South Church Street, Suite 810, in downtown Charlotte. The move supports a further expansion of the firm’s services to its North Carolina clients.
“The increase in our bond and underwriters’ counsel work in public schools, higher education, health care, transportation, and public private partnerships has kept us all busy,” says Joe Lucas, a partner based in Charlotte, NC. “We were fortunate earlier in 2012 to be able to bring on two new partners here in Charlotte and they have been enormously valuable additions for our clients. But we needed office space with a bit more breathing room, and the Ally Center provides that for us.”
With offices in Columbia, SC, and Charlotte, NC, Pope Flynn represents government agencies, public utilities, cities and towns, counties, water and sewer districts, hospitals, school districts, state institutions and other public entities particularly in creating cost-effective and secure structures for financing important projects.
