Lawrence Flynn, an attorney with Pope Flynn, has been selected for the 2015 class of Leadership South Carolina, a statewide leadership program “established in 1979 by the Governor’s Office and the South Carolina business community.” The 50-person class will spend 9 months together attending several three-day events covering South Carolina’s natural resources, education, social issues, the economy, and future challenges.
“I am excited to be able to participate in the Leadership South Carolina program,” says Flynn. “It is a well-respected program, and I feel privileged to be a part of it. Over the past seven years, I have been able to get to know so many of South Carolina’s communities through my work in local government and public finance law. I look forward to learning new perspectives and forging new relationships with my fellow class participants.”
Flynn serves as the treasurer on the board of the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Foundation and as a member of Duke University’s Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee. He graduated from Duke University with a BA and from the USC School of Law with a JD. Flynn is a member of the Leadership Columbia class of 2012 and of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
